After my graduation from the Institut auf dem Rosenberg, I moved to Washington, DC in order to pursue my Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration at Georgetown University. During that time I also did a summer study abroad program in Paris. Afterwards I moved back to St. Gallen and got my Master’s degree in Marketing, Services and Communication Management at the University of St. Gallen. I now live in Heidelberg and work as a Marketing and Sales Trainee at the world’s number one consumer health and hygiene company. I really love it so far and it is exactly what I have always wanted to do!
I think it’s the bond you form with certain people. Since you live so closely with all your friends who share the same experiences, they become your family and your safety net. You develop together, struggle with the same challenges and celebrate your success together. It has been 7 years since my graduation from Rosenberg and I still consider those friends some of my closest. Furthermore I really appreciate the international perspective I gained and the network that covers the whole planet so that wherever I have lived so far I knew at least one alumni from Institut auf dem Rosenberg.
Honestly, I don’t have a favourite city. For me, what counts are the memories of certain places I have been to and the people who were there with me. I am convinced that every city has something beautiful and unique, which is why you have to appreciate each city for what it is and not constantly compare it to other ones.
I love hanging out in sunny street cafes with my friends and a glass of wine. And of course the beach. There is nothing more beautiful to me than the ocean.
I really want to go to Australia. I have seen so many pictures from all my friends and I like the idea of leaving everything behind for a month or so.
Be open to new friends and experiences, never regret, always stay true to yourself and travel. Take advantage of all the opportunities offered to you and start thinking about your future including your priorities and goals, universities and internships. Everything you need to succeed is right there in front of you including the support from Institut auf dem Rosenberg. You just need to take it and not wait until someone hands it to you. A life advice is also to always choose your battles, which means that you should challenge standards in your head but also know which battles you can win and which ones you cannot!
My brother is still the person who inspired me the most. I admired how intelligent, calm and caring he was. I have never met a person like him. Besides that I am truly inspired by everyone who manages to balance a successful career and a happy personal life.
My memories which give me strength everyday and of course my friends and family who brighten up my life.
I want to successfully complete my Marketing and Sales Trainee program before leaving my mark in the FMCG industry.
To learn to live is to always keep swimming and to accept people for who they are.
